These rules have been adopted over time - normally in reaction to an event. In this case, a spammer spamming hundreds of users....

Mind you, as that was presumably before the implementation of the ignore list there may be a case for requesting it to be lifted. Or not?

Perhaps the limit should be raised to 15 or something, with the organising of my supremacy1914 game, i found 10 messages a day unsatisfactory.

Can't you just ban the user? I don't think 'tis fair for the rest of us to suffer just because some idiot wanted to spam. :'( Can it not please be increased to at least 15 a day like Bad Wolf suggested?
