Girlfriend problem - jealousy

I love my girlfriend but she is destroying the relationship because of her jealousy. Examples: 1) I viewed a house with a view to buy it. It happened to be near a girl I once knew (not as a lover). That girl does not even live nearby anymore, but my girlfriend screamed at me that I wanted to be near her. It's ridiculous. 2) Sometimes too tired to make love. Reaction? 'You love someone else, don't you?' Then pillows rain down on me.

Wot I gonna do?

Choices:

1. couples' counseling
2. dump her
3. dump her and tell her she needs counseling
4. tell her that if she's that suspicious, perhaps she's the one with something to hide

Take her down to the beach and watch a Punch & Judy show together. In my experience this sometimes works.

1) Tried Relate. Relate person only interested in our sex life. Told them it was fantastic and not the problem. Then told, can't help you!!!!!! I paid £45 for this stupid advice!

2) Don't want to dump her 'cos I love her

3) Agreed, she needs councelling. Life at risk if I suggest it.

4) Probably not. She loves me and is loyal.

Punch and Judy? You've got me fascinated. Why would this help?

I think that it's on the path to destruction as you suggested. Enjoy the obvious while you can. Start looking for another girl. Have one on the side. It will keep your confidence up. If you keep this going, you'll lose self respect and will be miserable..

Not interested in 'one on the side'. Love my girlfriend. Her jealousy is completely illogical. There must be a way.

I pity the hopelessly romantic. Try a shot of nihilism.

What I mean is, she has nothing to hide, I know it, and I trust her. Why can't she trust me?
