this thread started out kinda cheery, but as someone who is engaged to their first love it seems rather too depressing for my liking. i think i'm gonna find another thread to lurk in now...
It can be done, but personally speaking I think its best to sow the seed a few times before making a MASSIVE commitment.
Go on a lads 18-30's holiday, you wouldn't believe the fun you would have!!
Right, im making a new thread!!

Love is a cold hard thing.
It leaves you vulnerable to having your heart slashed in half.
I try and forget every day of my past love.
She died in a car accident.
I cried for three days straight.
Then I realized that she did not leave enough of a legacy. So I decided I would pave the way for aerospace engineers everywhere. I would attempt to become the standard of aerospace engineers, NASA's new hope.

A year ago, my love and I,
The aspen over stile and stone
Was talking to itself alone.
"Oh who are these that kiss and pass?
A country lover and his lass;
Two lovers looking to be wed;
And time shall put them both to bed,
But she shall lie with earth above,
And he beside another love."
And sure enough beneath the tree
There walks another love with me,
And overhead the aspen heaves
Its rainy-sounding silver leaves;
And I spell nothing in their stir,
But now perhaps they speak to her,
And plain for her to understand
They talk about a time at hand
When I shall sleep with clover clad,
And she beside another lad.

If you love someone, you love them; not in spite of their faults, but because of them. It's part of the unique element. I loved and married my first love. It didn't work out. I still am in love with her. It can never work. The pain can never go away. Oue two children are hers, not mine. Our lives are both ruined. She never remarried. I did, a few time ...[text shortened]... both still in love with each other, and yet we both know it is hopeless. Explain that for me.

Is it possible to love someone you only know over the interenet? 😕
I met my husband while playing chess on this site. He moved from America to England to be with me.
When I know he is due home from work my heart beats faster and every car door closing has me looking towards the door. I lay in bad at night watching him breathe while he sleeps and we have to text and phone each other while at work because it is hard to be apart.
I'm the luckiest woman alive.

Having an argument with a friend over this and want some ammunition.
"Define" love... Not the chemical reaction, but the rest of it. I'm talking bunnies, butterflies all that rubbish here people.
Who was the first person you truly fell in love with? What kind of emotion does that bring to mind when you think about them now?
Do you think that its some ...[text shortened]... e ourselves does not exist / is something we can prevent ourselves from feeling again?
Go!
