I found this site last week, and the cool thing is if you have a mp3 player you can podcast the lessons. My wife is giving it a try.

I took 8 classes in South America, and picked up enough to chat about most things. Grammatically, I wasn't good, but people knew what I was saying, so my recommendation is to go on a holiday to a spanish speaking country, and arrange a couple of weeks classes.

D
RK has it right, the only way you are going to learn is by being immersed in the culture, even if only for a couple weeks, thus the many jokes preceding this post....

A book is good, a class is better, being there... priceless. 😀

Message during games with players in their language. It's fun until you accidentally insult them.

Why in the hell do you want to learn Spanish, Hand?

To end up calling 'moms' whores, like Xanny the Fairy, in a Latino
neighborhood of the States and get yourself killed?

Spanish is a language of men.

Learn French. It suits you more.

Fantastic--if you can understand a Glaswegian accent. I'm loving it. At last, free Spanish lessons that aren't totally crap. Hey, we should form a subscriber group & email each other the PDF files...

Give up on Spanish. Everything about you tells me you should be learning Dutch instead. Better still, Flemish.
