I'm flipping through the channels LAST NIGHT and I pause for a few minutes on an MTV show called Viva La Bam. I didn't really understand what was going on but these young kids spent the entire 5 minutes that I could stomach wrecking stuff and beating on each other. They smashed the windows on some homeless guy's trailer spewing glass all over him in his bed. They chopped off the roof of a car and drove into an otherwise pristine lake. Then, they pushed some other guys camper into the SAME lake. Finally, they built some 20 car shrine to the devil with a giant flaming pentagram on top.
All the while as they did damage to people, property, animals, and the environment they laughed and carried like what they were doing was somehow cool.
THEN THIS MORNING, as I left for work my wife was watching the Today show. They had an excerpt about an older guy who takes candy to the children in the cancer ward at Sloan Kettering every Friday Morning.
The Juxtaposition of these two events really caused me to think that maybe I am out of touch.

(Not really trying to start a fight, just curious how you and other's of your generation feel.)

Not what I'm saying at all NorlysK. I'm saying I didn't understand this show, which obviously must have some appeal to young people if it's on MTV in Prime Time.
I did understand and was somewhat moved by the Today show snippet, which made me feel old.
