For example, my parents have paid for private education all my life, and throughout it I got alright grades, and then, in the last 5 years, I started using the theatre facilities at my school, which ...[text shortened]... e to go to a school that could afford a theatre, I probably wouldn't have gotten involved.
That's different from what I meant. You didn't throw away your chances to enter at that school, so it's not comparable.

Anyhow, as secondary education goes, I prefer my kids to go to a public school (like I did) because I think they'll learn how to deal with the real word, not just with the spoiled rich kids. But maybe things here are a little different.

So tell me where's the wearyness because I still don't get it.

In a couple of years we'll probably move a computer into her room. Maybe even sooner.

RHP? She doesn't like chess.

(Funny story, they had a Chess Class at her school in 4th grade. It was taught by Dean Ippolito. I encouraged her to take the class. It was after school one day a week. They gave her homework. I helped her with her "Chess Home ...[text shortened]... ccount at ICC and get her some lessons from Larry Christenson or one of the others.
I was speaking to someone on the site who was saying that a few times that she has posted recently on the site has resulted in your posting her age in the forums. I figure you might like to know that her dad is also on this site and has no problem with her reading the forums. I use this as an example of how some people are more liberal.

I can see what you mean about the comment to abejnood, but as far as I'm concerned abejnood knows what tits are and if he doesn't at his age, he should.

Must be American Public. British Public is the same as private. e.g. fee paying.

That there's hardly any point in keeping a weary eye on the forums for a 13+ kid.

I don't do grammar. You must have me confused with someone with the same forum picture.

Yeah, again, I wasn't trying to criticize you and obviously I've seen far worse.

I was trying to explain my comfort level and my issue with it being other people's children.

That age thing happened once. Because of the age, I would prefer not to discuss the matter in the open forum.

As an abstract, let me reiterate that this isn't a question of what I should do with my kids or what someone else should do with theirs.

It's a question of what you and I should feel comfortable doing or saying to someone else's kids.

I mean state-owned. It's free and available to all in Portugal, don't know how that is elsewhere.

In the UK, Public schools are actually what most people think of as Private Schools i.e. you pay tutition.
