The second speed boost is a real killer - I see what cadawn meant now about going blind.

Maybe that is why he has stopped posting, he cant see the screen anymore.

Once you get used to the speed boost and sudden change of screen it is not too bad.

I just cracked this game. When you begin, make a right turn just before the blocks start spawning then hold down right.
The blocks will not be able to spawn fast enough to get in your way and you also bypass the gateways as well, you can play the game for as long as your finger is able to sustain this way - I got a score of 150,000 by this method, although it is a little dissapointing to know there is only one other colour change after the black blocks and it is not all that bad.
