I've been asked this before, couple years ago and my answer remains the same.
Why should I subcribe?
Before I used to play 5-6 games with quick time countrols. Now I play less on here.
The ads don't bother me much except that Red Riding Hood One. Woah, that freaked me out.
What else is there? Clans, Recs, Vacation, etc... Doesn't matter to me.
Why not use that money to buy a chess book or enter into more Otb Tournaments. I don't know how much the subcription is but say $30 a year = 10 monthly chess OTB tournaments for me = 40 games. Much more worthwhile for me.
Simply put, OTB chess is more important to me then any online sites and that is where I will continue using my money.
