@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidSweden has 11 medals so far - 5 gold, 5 silver, 1 bronze
Second gold for GB in the snowboarding.
I'll take it!
So far. 🙂
@Earl-of-Trumps saidNice! 🙂
Yippeee!
The US curling team has beaten the defending gold medal champion, Sweden.
To see my team up there with the worldwide powerhouses is such a good feeling.
me so happy 😀

@The-only-Mr-T saidThat's cool to learn.
It's on free to air TV in the UK... All the major sporting events are protected and have to be free to watch.
That'll probably change at some point. It's already went from every sport during an Olympics being free to access to just one/two channels showing selection events with the rest being on 'cable'.
@Earl-of-Trumps saidMakes sense. I think we have more people of Scottish ancestry than the Swedes do.

@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidJust as an aside...
Nice! 🙂
I've never seen hostilities - and almost a fight even, break out between the sides in the middle of a curling match before.
Then there was Canada vs. Sweden. Sweden at one point accused Canada of cheating. Oh my!
The claim is that the roller had double-tapped the stone before pushing off.
Judges and IOC officials said there was no proof of the claim.
That's a cheap-shot tactic if I ever saw one. lol
@Earl-of-Trumps saidAsking as someone who used to play shuffleboard at my late grandparents' mobile-home park's court, is there really such a rule against double-tapping the stone before giving it a shove?
