@Earl-of-Trumps saidI understood it that the film showed the Canadian player touching the stone again right after pushing it. The Swiss team protested also. And the Canadian player told the Swedish player to f*** off. Not nice.
Just as an aside...
I've never seen hostilities - and almost a fight even, break out between the sides in the middle of a curling match before.
Then there was Canada vs. Sweden. Sweden at one point accused Canada of cheating. Oh my!
The claim is that the roller had double-tapped the stone before pushing off.
Judges and IOC officials said there was no proof of the claim.
That's a cheap-shot tactic if I ever saw one. lol
@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidI knew ice-hockey could be but not curling. 🙂 It's not really the big guys playing.
Curling can be brutal.
@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidIs that anything like water boarding?
Second gold for GB in the snowboarding.
I'll take it!

@Very-Rusty saidWell played Canada in the Ice Hockey.
@Ghost,
Thanks I know you guys had a very good Team, that was the mixed right?
How did the game itself go was it all one sided or did Canada put up a good challenge? I could get the scores with no problem as you know off of the internet.
Just wanted your opinion of how the game went.

Well played Canada in the Ice Hockey.
One of the toughest games I ever saw Canada play in a disqualifying game.
Everyone was talking about an easy game because Canada won the first one 5-0 against them.
I knew they would much tougher and had their other Goalie play who really kept them in the game in my opinion.
Sid went down, could be gone from the tournament. I believe it was a clean check just the guy landed on top of him and it looked like his leg was twisted when the other guy landed on top of it.
I say it could have went the other way just as easily!!!

I believe the Canadian Curler gave an apology and said it was not showing a good example for other younger players who may have been watching. I believe the argument got overly heated. He was not found at fault even after they looked at replay so you saw things much differently than the Olympic committee did.
