It does if the “punishment”, if that is the adjective you prefer, means they are locked up.

No, we are talking about all of it. Crime, punishment, sentencing, rehabilitation, protection.

    We were not.
And that would be an awful lot to discuss on the GF.

I am neither liberal nor conservative.
    I suppose...I am at root...a humanist.

I believe we have lost our way regarding crime and punishment.

The re-institution of some degree of the Lex Talionis or Code of Hammurabi appear to be in order. Because, I think, current global disorder... warrants a radical change.

It comes as no surprise that a child rapist gains support at this site.

Criminals and terrorists have been executing people in public for a very long time. No judges. No juries.

    No justice!

Whether the etiology lies in psychosis or perverted, deranged ideology matters not. The innocents are still unjustifiably... dead.

Without a doubt...stronger deterrence is necessitated.

You should take this accusation up directly with drewnogal and Wolfgang59 as I’m sure they will want to address your claim.

How is Finland by the way, I hear it’s partucularly icy there at the moment.

It is a well known fact that Interpol use chess websites when profiling for rapists. 🙄

I hope I don’t have to say this but I will anyway; that while I strenuously disagree with both yourself and drewnogal, I absolutely do not interpret (what I see as being) your softy liberal approach to the permenant incarceration of the child sex murderer in the OP, as being either of you “supporting child rapists”.

We can disagree and even argue but I’m certain none of us are proposing “supporting” these monsters in some way.
