Psychiatrists are medical doctors, psychologists are not. Psychiatrists prescribe medication, psychologists can't. Psychiatrists diagnose illness, manage treatment and provide a range of therapies for complex and serious mental illness. Psychologists focus on providing psychotherapy (talk therapy) to help patients.

Some folks don't seen to know the difference between the two!

I work in mental health. Of course 'Psychiatrists and Psychologists' is of interest to me.

But this thread is based on the premise of someone not known to any of us not knowing something, and you copying and pasting the answer to a question nobody here has given any indication they didn't know.

That was my first post "Silly goad", if someone didn't know do you think they are actually going to say so, with people like you around to pounce on them?

You work in mental health....You are not a Phsychiatrist or Physchologist, so what do you ACTUALLY do for the mental health patients? Babysit them?
