He clearly deliberately stepped on Carvalho. I don't think he was aiming at his nuts, but it's still a definite straight red card.
On most people's book, but the English. (Marca, L'Equipe, CNN, etc)
Carvalho went in hard, fell over and pulled Rooney back with him. Neither of them intended to foul anyone.

Spanish press, French press, American press all agree with me. And I'm the racist?
It's just sad that football blinds you so much into calling me a racist.

Really? It seems my moronic comments and opinions are corroborated by the international press.
Keep up the insults, I'm having fun at how sore a loser you are.
I've watched the video over and over and it is clear that;
1. It was accidental, and
2. The ref wasn't sending him off till the portugese surrounded him, and
3. The portugese instigator winks at his pals, and
4. He admits saying before the match that he would cheat to get Rooney sent off.
The portugese cheat definately won't play in the premiership ever again.
PS,With his enviable skills with his feet, if Rooney had been trying to do any damage, he would've castrated and circumcised him before he had time to get up.

1. I think it's deliberate
2. There are many times where the refs wait until everything is calmed down to card a player. Either way, that has nothing to do with the fairness of the red card.
3. Of course he's happy. Winking at the bench means what to you? Ronaldo did exactly the same as Petit or other Portuguese players or what many players do immediatley after an agression.
4. Where did he say that? Quote it and I'll believe you. Even IF that is true which I doubt it, that has absolutely NO relevance to the fairness of the red card.
Originally posted by PalynkaWell it's just my opinion but that sort of thing, diving, acting, and surrounding the ref is completely ruining the game.

Originally posted by SALADINI accept we lost fairly and I'm English. The way 10 of our guys battled hard and held 11 of the Portugese at bay made me proud. Diving/faking whether the Brits like it or not (and definitely I think NOT) is part of the international game, many countries consider it a valid tactic and don't even see the unsportsman-like behaviour of it. Personally I think that's a disgusting, cowardly view but that's foreigners for you 😉. Likewise dodgy referreing is part of the game, so IMO Portugal won fairly (England did after all need to score a goal to win), and good luck to them.
The english will never accept that they lost fair. they are so f+Cking arrogant.
Bro.. seriously... this was the best england squard i have seen for over 30 years and what let them down was the management.
I mean how can you take 4 forwards to a WC final... when two off them were only 50% fit and the 3rd one was 17 and had never played in a top game in his life. and the 4th was crouch.. who is not a world class player

During the penalty kicks we just had a very inspired Ricardo and that's what it came down to in the end. There was little between both teams and most people knew that this would never be an easy win for any of the teams.
Originally posted by SALADINYeah that was a dodgy decision, ending up with us playing a negative 4-5-1 instead of the more natural 4-4-2. Theo was never going to play, so effectively Sven was stating from the outset that defence rather than attack was the main ploy of the English tactics. Lampard was unlucky all tourney, things may have worked out better for the English if he'd had more luck in front of goal.
