Yes I had a friend who use to do some really nice work doing just that with ice-cream sticks. Did some beautiful pieces, very talanted.

I thought it was glue, but he told me it was a trade secret. I am sure he had to stick some glue on them although I never could smell it.

Perhaps instead of glue he just left some of the ice cream on them and put them together, laying down flat and allowed the ice cream to harden.

Some of the pieces he made would never have stuck together had that been it. I still believe he had to use some type of glue

Most stick craft pieces require glue, but some ingenious people can manage without.

I cannot imagine how it would stick can you explain it?

This guy does some very complex stuff that defies the law of gravity without any sticky substance being used, don't know how it would stay together.
