Does anyone know what's bad about a sticky wicket?

First of all nice to see you and hope everything is going well in these uncertain times.

It would all depend on the kind of sticky wicket you are talking about. Could you define the sticky wicket you mean?

Perhaps the beginning of a Sticky Wicket Thread! 😉

I like everything about this thread except the stickiness. If we drop it, will we still stick to it?

You can't drop it if it's stuck to you.

Seems more like it and I don't like anything sticky, not even tape.

I've seen a tape worm stuck in our dog's derriere.

Fear not I was able to remove it and got him some meds to get rid of any others he might have had.

You would have been smarter sticking with a vet for that job Stees. 😉

Well once I had it out I went to my daughter (a vet) and she stuck me with a nice bill for the required meds.

You should stick her with a nice bill for her education expenses. ☺

But I feel certain you don't pay her consultation fees?

She is, at the moment stuck (though she loves the owners and they her) with working for an established clinic, I do have to pay but I do get a family discount. Once she, if she does, get her own practice, she's assured me that I will get an even better discount. I said, "You mean, like FREE". She replied, "You're kidding, right?" 😲 😉

She didn't stick with you anything, she probably just got you to cover what the meds cost her to start with....You probably got a deal and didn't even know it. Forget all those years you put a roof over her head and food on the table!!!
