Most have said this already, but try it out for a while and if you want the extra features then subscribe.
I only subscribed for the vacation time rules and more importantly, the ability to play more than 6 games at a time. The clans and tournaments were nice, but not a primary factor.
If you don't subscribe, you're still contributing by letting those ads load on your browser.

Funnily enough, i can't see any Moderator posting in that thread. Arrakis never lets the truth get in the way of a good yarn, so what else can we expect.

But that's not the issue here. The issue is that a site like RHP allows idiots like you to abuse others. That's one of the 'issues' that will be in my report along with some other things.

He has a penchant to attack anybody and everybody for the most spurious of reasons. He went off the deep end at one point because RHP was "infecting" his computer with spyware, when in fact it was something completely different. Even after being made aware of his error, he refused to apologise for the harm he had caused to the site.
He also likes attacking people in real life, like asexual people, who he views as freaks and perverts because they won't reproduce. He has also said in the past that fat people can't be loved Thread 69432 Page 5. Despite the fact that this is what our hero looks like... http://murl.se/25967.
The hypocrisy is what drove one of our young foolish members to start the Michigan Fattie thread.
Read the linked thread above for some more example of Arrakis' deluded hate and lies. It makes for a great read.
As for the site, I'd say it's probably the best site around for online chess, and you'll definitely get value for your $30.
