The 100% agreement in the main results window could simply mean the player is very good.

The only way to check for the matches is to go through the a ...[text shortened]... element of actually looking at the game, forced moves/unforced moves, etc, etc...

Which seems to contradict leestatic's post about Grandmaster games NEVER matching up 100% (assuming he's actually run many through Chessmaster)
Computers have ruined chess.

There is a misunderstanding here.

CM has the ability to say it Agrees. This does not mean CM would have made the same moves.

CM has agreed with me up to 95% or 100 in a short game where I do well.... Someone matching CM 100 percent in the choices that engine makes is another thing.

OK.
So you are saying Chessmaster approves of a certain move made, but wouldn't neccessarily have made the same move itself, the move made was second or third best, according to it.
I think I'll bug out, still pisses me off that "Boris" etc are allowed to publicly accuse people though *meh*

CM has a built in threshold. It disagrees with a move if it is greater than 0.2 pawns (might be different) worse than the move CM thinks is best.

Obviously this will give a very high matchup in a game where a player doesn't repeatedly blunder. Hell in a game where a player blunders away a queen you might get a matchup above 90%.

This means nothing.

Wannabe.

I think a key game was Exy v Tebb. Exy tried to give Tebb the draw in the endgame with a few huge blunders. How different might things have turned out if Tebb had spotted it? Can you find it? Hint, its in the 50s.

I'd like to see the same analysis done on the top 100 players on this site. How many players would be banned just because one game matches the moves your computer makes.

I know Exy better than the majority of people on RHP, though not as well as some. The only chess program he uses is Winboard and that comes with the standard GNU chess engine. Spend all the time you like finding evidence that proves Exy cheated as this will only be a waste of time, Exy would not come back even if you payed him. We in TWIN PEAKS know he does not cheat. If I were you I'd watch my own back and make sure you don't play so well in a single game that you'll also be banned for playing a good game.

there are many other threads to contribute to, I'm sick of hearing (or reading, whatever) about this. Its such old news. Why don't we talk about the O.J. Simpson trial while we're at it

Plenty of other threads as you say. Stay out of this one if it doesn't interest you. Simple as...
