What to do when a telemarketer calls.....

I get people calling at my door all the time trying to sell me double glazing - I lie and tell them I am not really the owner of the house, they can only deal with the home owner so you stuff them completely if they believe you are just a tennant.

I got one from a guy trying to sell me a newspaper subscription. I told him I only buy the Sunday paper just so the dog has something to crap on. His reply, “Does it last all week? If it doesn’t you might want to consider purchasing a subscription for all 7 days.”

our favorite at home is to say "can you hold on just a second?" and then put the phone down and walk away. We hang the phone up when we get that annoying busy signal for a disconnected line. I figure if they want to waste my time, I might as well waste theirs, and reduce the number of calls they can make in a day.

He he, I like that one too. The joke is on them, after that.

This, by far hands down, is the best way to prank a telemarketer.

Vacuum based multiple glazing is still in the experimental stage. They need to find a workable solution to prevent the glass smashing in on itself, due to the vacuum. Currently, they use loads of tiny metal rods, the theory being that people don't look at windows, they look through them, so the rods are pretty much invisible.

Normal multiple ...[text shortened]... in the space. More advanced glazing systems use inert gases like Argon to fill the space.
