@mwmiller saidThanks, good to hear.
I have tested it a few times just recently, and it seems to be working fine. It kicked my butt several games in a row too. I tested by promoting to various other pieces as well. The pawn promotion feature is much more useful and visible now, so that is a major improvement! I did not see any problems. 🙂
@mwmiller saidHaha, I played a few games as well and got 1 draw and a bunch of loses. Take pride in that draw... I hope level 1 is the hardest 😅

@The-only-Mr-T saidI just tried it and got thrashed.

When I started the game it showed AI as level 0; how can you make the game harder or easier ir is it fixed and that level?
@Martin saidAre you on the beta site with the weird opening position? Finally got the better of it... Do start a queen up though 😄

@The-only-Mr-T saidYes; on the Beta site and the opening position was normal.

I was just wondering if you can change the level to harder or easier
@Martin saidSure you're on the beta site?

The board is the easy to promote version when I start a game.
If you hit the new-game button you should get a slider to adjust the level. 1-20
@orangutan saidThank you - I did not know about hitting the new-game button.

Now I have a problem where a black and white pawn have swapped ends and one of each colour is missing altogether
@Martin saidSo that set-up of pawns ready to promote is just on the Beta site ... and there just for the purposes of easily testing promotion (see my post on the previous page & the response from @Russ).

Otherwise it'd be a very frustrating time getting reliable promotions tested using the new board interface.
Maybe he'll keep the arrangement when it goes live .. might make for interesting AI games ...

@The-only-Mr-T saidLets just say that the difficulty needs 'calibrating' - I decided that was a job to be tackled in isolation, after this release.

It was super useful for testing UI in development though, and the first thing migrated.
@The-only-Mr-T saidGood for you, I haven't given a go yet. Plan on trying it out though when I get a chance.

@Russ saidI put it up to level 20, didn't notice much difference in playing strength but it did take considerably longer to make a move. Saying that I got bored after 5-10 moves and left it.

@The-only-Mr-T saidYou have patience my friend. You could leave and go back. 😉
