I notice that in the beta version, pieces taken are organized under the main board on a single line, one colour left-justified, the other color right-justified. IMO, it was neater and instantaeous to see the relative standings when you had them both aligned left, Q under Q, R under R, and so on: not so intuitive now in beta.

This has now been added as an option, compact captured material.

Turn this off to use the old style, W&B on separate rows, pieces spaced apart.

You can now do this with a new new option, Indicate Check - check and checkmate will no longer by highlighted.

With the addition of the two options mentioned above, on top of others previously added, you can pretty much recreate the existing RHP board experience if you want! No animation, no legal move highlighting, and captured material over two lines.

1 Start the analysis board. Make a move.
2 Use the back arrow to replace the piece.
3 Now move again (same or different piece)
The notation of what you did is now in the wrong column for the colour.

edit: Console contains no obvious errors.

This should now be fixed.

Lets just say this was a very interesting bug to resolve. 🤬

Nice one - confirmed to be working.

Sorry to add to the list, but the board settings & the analysis board ...
I've set it to 'off' for the Compact Captured material, but on the analysis board it starts off compact (have to toggle it on and off again to remove the compactness).
Main board seems to honour the setting though.

While we're on the subject, the settings for Show Legal Moves, Indicate Check and Animate Last Move don't actually do anything on the analysis board.
Maybe hide them when accessing the setting from the analysis board? Might avoid some confusions??

And this same problem appeared in a few other less commonly used places too, so good to catch those at the same time.

This is fixed, with a caveat - manual promotion has been replaced by automatic promotion. I'll look at this at a later date. (Post beta)

The update to the over the board messaging will not be available until later next week, unfortunately. But it is coming, so please tolerate the 'smaller than you would prefer" boards until then! Thanks.

The same happens on both sites; however there is a blue dot next to the handshake emoji which I have worked gives you the option "to change skin color" with a plus sign and choice of 5 skin colours; something I have not seen before and it only happens on the handshake emoji.

However, I have worked out how to get the thumbs up and handshake emoji in one message.

Hey everyone ! Has anyone else experienced when playing on the desktop version on your mobile device, I am on android Samsung A56 ... not sure if the phone model makes a difference, however I would make a move and the page would freeze !! You would have to go out the browser page and back in again and then it would be ok .... tried refreshing pages first etc nothing ... hope it helps. 😊
