The reason for the separation is good works. They were not separated long before... you moron.
You have no idea why they were separated the way they were, outside of the fact one
group of people were good sheep, which typically is used in scripture as God's people,
and another group of people called goats.

Jesus in more than a few places says His sheep know His voice, so they have a very
real connection with Him in this life. The share His Spirit, they do the things that God
wants them too.

Unlike another group of people who do not have the Spirit of God who cannot please
please God, because they lack something God requires.

Two things
The first I said very clearly Jesus was giving that guy specific instructions so it was not a
metaphorical conversation. If you think it was metaphorical, what was the point according
to you?

The second, I believe the eternal damnation is iteral, you are asking a question you
already knew the answer to.

My question to you has not been answered, if I accept eternal damnation is indeed a
metaphor, what was the point Jesus was making talking about an eternal damnation?

The point could be that the "damnation" ~ the punishment ~ the destruction in the "fire" ~ the annihilation ~ is final, permanent, and lasts forever i.e. it's eternal ~ while life-after-death for those who receive it is also final, permanent, and lasts forever.

Actually I wasn't talking to you about a spiritual truth, I was asking dive. You may indeed
answer and talk about anything you want, but as I told you once before, for me listening
to you on any scriptural conversation is like listening to a blind man speak about how cool
a painting is that he cannot see.

Run away, KellyJay, run away.

I just choose my conversations with the hope those I'm talking to have some grasp of the
subject matter.

Jesus in more than a few places says His sheep know His voice, so they have a very
real connection with Him in this life. The share His Spi ...[text shortened]... have the Spirit of God who cannot please
please God, because they lack something God requires.
In the following Jesus explains to the "sheep" why they were placed to the right:
Matthew 25
34“Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35‘For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; 36naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’ 37“Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? 38‘And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? 39‘When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40“The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’

In the following Jesus explains to the "goats" why they were placed to the left:
Matthew 25
41“Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels; 42for I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink; 43I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.’ 44“Then they themselves also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of You?’ 45“Then He will answer them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ 46“These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

Not denying works is going to play a part in our judgment.
So tell me is Jesus Christ your Lord?

You asked what the point of a metaphor might have been and you ran away from an inconvenient answer.

I was responding to the following statement by you:
<<You have no idea why they were separated the way they were, outside of the fact one

If you understood that they were separated based on their "works", then why did you respond as you did?

YOU have not idea why they were separated because you cannot read.
I can read and I understand why Jesus separated them.

I said that the fact that they were on the left and right was already a separation, in addition they were also called sheep and goats that to is also a separation.

The term sheep has been used for those belonging to the Lord. Are you one who belongs to the Lord, do you even believe in God?

Well their works where about to be judged, everyone’s works are going to be judged. What makes one a sheep or a goat. We know Jesus said His sheep know His voice, what about goats?
