That is the point missed by many here. The righteous requirements are met through Jesus Christ, and we will through Him walk out the works He has for us as we live according to the Spirit of God not the flesh.
Do believers in Christ who fail to "walk out the works" lose their "salvation"?

Where do you stand on the doctrine of eternal security?

Grampy Bobby insisted a couple of times a few years ago that I was "saved" regardless of what I believe now or what I do. He claimed that even if someone only believes in Jesus Christ for an instant**, and even if they then go on to lose their belief, they are "saved" and nothing can undo it.

** I was a believer for well over 25 years.

Since God warns people about branches of the tree being cut off so we could be grafted
in that should let everyone know as long as your part of Christ you have it. If you are not,
than you don't.

Romans 11:
20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

yes - You can choose to be lost.

In addition to this, those who have no knowledge or never really understood, yet love is in their hearts. Paul states, "for those who know the law, will be judged by the law. And for those who do not know the law, will be judged by the law written in their hearts.

No that would be wrong - it would depend on the reasons. We have choice. We can choose to do evil. Being a believer won't save you. Look at Judas, was he not among the Apostles when Jesus was revealed to be the Christ. The scripture states that Jesus sent the Apostles into the towns. And the scripture states that they healed people and cast out demons. Judas name was listed among those who went. Also Jesus says about the casting of demons "a house divided against itself will not stand" Basically someone who does not believe could not cast out a demon. So going back to Judas, he had to have been a believer.

Yet after Judas chose to betray Jesus, Jesus states about Judas, "it would have been better if he had not been born" .

Now back to where i said it would depend on the reasons.
There are situations that take place in life that cause humans to make decisions. My brother is a good example of this. Grew up catholic, he is very intellectual. Over the years he has chosen to become Pagan. In his thinking, he can't understand why God would allow such suffering in this world. And yet my brother is very involved with people. He has a deep love for others above himself.

To me he is one of those Paul speaks of when he states "and for those who do not know the law, they will be judged by the law written in their hearts"

Again you belittle the doctrine of Christ by equating works with, texting, sleep, seat belts.

Without works you are nothing, and you get nothing said Christ and all the Apostles.

Works is more than just important .. its essential for eternal life, it is required by Christ.
and again i say to you to, brother. Would you two stop it. Yes you and sonship.

Is not our God "One" ? It is written, for those who eat meat should not envy/argue with those who only think you can eat veggies. What part of God is not God? If a man loves God with all his heart, but has no clue of Jesus, what does it matter? In your faith, is not God and Jesus "One" ? I know you love God, and so does Sonship. You are both passionate and i love that. But i can't stand this i'm better than you BS. You are brothers .

Sonship and I, are on opposite sides of Christianity. I believe in following the commandments of Christ. Sonship believes in talking and thinking about Christ and places no value in the commandments and in DOING good works. He has started yet another thread 'Christ vs a High Moral Code', which is designed to prove that commandments need not be followed, because fallen man cannot live as Jesus commanded.

Yes I know where you two stand.

But we can barter our thoughts back and forth without the insults

I highly doubt that you will be able to move Sonships ideas much. Nor will he be able to move yours. To me, i would let God move the mountains and the oceans.

Will we stand together when the anti-Christ comes, or will we let pettiness control our differences.

A Brother in Christ for me is one who preaches and attempts to follow Christ' teachings and commandments. Sonship preaches doctrines contrary to Christ.

I have come across several people on this site and in my personal life as well, who follow Christ commandments because the love of God is written in their hearts. People like Ghost of a Duke, FMF, Sonhouse and Im sure there are more .. who will not see a man in need and walk past, who will give generously of their time and resources to help others. Many of these would have entertained angels unawares or have fed Jesus himself. Jesus would not forget these people when he comes. He would however cast the uncompassionate selfish, greedy Christians into the lake of fire.

Sonship is a dangerous Christian, the type that leads the gullible into eternal damnation. He is not my brother in Christ.
