@rajk999 saidI have two things to say to what you said before I stopped reading your post after the first two things you said.
Jesus said no such thing. Your church has deceived you. Here are the words of Jesus:
[i]For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. (Matthew 16:27 KJV)
Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come for ...[text shortened]... f the Holy Spirit that they will be cast out of the Kingdom of God if they did not live righteously.
I never said, in the post you replied to, anything about what Jesus said, and salvation isn't a reward.
@divegeester
Just a note: I have my outline done and I'm working on the final draft. It's HUGH dive. You may be cussing me for eternity instead of thanking me.

Wow, are you related? cool either way.
@caesar-salad said😉 So how are you tonight?
Does Asher Lev watch the raindrops on the window?
Edit: We don't want anyone to think we're rubbing thighs together. 😉
@caesar-salad said🙂 same here.
Good enough. Not dead yet.
We should Light the Night Walk sometime and talk. 🙂

Also: When it comes to Asher Lev, please be careful where you tread.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidJohn 3:16-21 KJV - "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God."
Are we in agreement sir that the underlying thrust of Romans 2 is that it really doesn't matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, that God loves all humans the same?
And if so, why wouldn't an omnipotent deity save everyone?
Our deity DOES "save everyone". Everyone who believes in the Son of God. For God sent his Son into the world that the world, through him, *might* be saved. Because of the nature OF the world, the world cannot be saved without him. Believeth not in the Son of God, and you belong TO the world, and not to God. And the name of the Son of God is the only name by which men might be saved.
@secondson saidWe are all flawed human beings sir.
Legitimate questions.
We are in agreement. God is in the business of saving souls no matter their race, gender, nationality, age etc etc. And God is not a repecter of persons and loves everyone with a love beyond human comprehension.
In answer to your second question; why doesn't everyone believe God and be saved? It's not going to happen is it? If God saved people ar ...[text shortened]... is based on my perspective, and I am a flawed human being incapable of making inerrant assertions. 😉
The way I see it (and perhaps one of the front runners for my atheism) Is that an all-powerful father has the ability to save all the humans he loves. And yet has a caveat of His own.
Think of a human father who has 3 sons and loves all of them equally, although one of those sons doesn't love him back, perhaps even refuses to accept him as a father. Now say all 3 sons fall in a lake and are drowning. Doesn't the loving father save all 3 sons?
@suzianne saidGod 'doesn't' save everyone. He only saves those who believe in Him. It's not the same.

It's like a company saying 'we give chocolate to everyone, but eh, only those who have a voucher.'
I even challenge the idea that God 'wants' to save everyone, as an omnipotent God would do just that. (No caveats).
@secondson saidOf course you are correct. The words of Jesus do not feature prominently in your doctrine. Jesus was asked the question about eternal life and His answer bears no resemblance to what you think eternal life is about.
