True Story
An atheist walks into a bar (a student bar) and says
"I am alone and my life feels vertically untethered."

The bar quickly empties apart from Bob The Christian who presents the
poor atheist with a gold sticker and congratulates him on his intellectual
honesty.

It's a sit-com waiting to be written.

Call it "Not The Big Bang Theory"

have been made to have me in it!'

This sounds like the murmurings of an madman. A puddle thinking and asking questions. It takes an ignoramous to quote such insanity.

The two vertical pronouns appear slightly intoxicated or they're leaning into a strong wind.

Yes. I believe the whole big tremendous thing was made for man.

At least the evidence is that it knew we were coming.

There was no talking burning bush and there was only one virgin, who gave birth to the Son of God.

Thank you for the singular (virgin).

So you think that the universe was designed for us rather than we were designed for the universe?

What evidence is there that points you to that conclusion rather than the second?

Homes, condos and apartments: designed for people?

People: Designed for homes, condos and apartments?

Commonsense.

Edit: Same as the Pyramidal Food Chain.

Your simplistic analogy fails on two points;
1. Homes, condos and apartments are designed by people, the universe manifestly isn't.
2. Homes, condos and apartments were not present before people:, the universe was.

"Commonsense" fails to deliver anything worthwhile when discussing cosmology.

In a loose sense yes.
What worked survived.
What didn't work didn't survive.
But I do not believe in Intelligent Design as you well know.

However anyone who does believe in Intelligent Design would surely think that we were designed for an existing universe rather than vice versa. Yes?
