1. You can look up the data on time and scripture if you want to know there
are several works that can give you much more detail than I'm willing to give
due to the time it takes. Example: http://bibletimeline.info/
2. How long they got back? No, it was how long it took them to get to where
they were going. I imagine the time wasn't that long.
3. T ...[text shortened]... omething from nothing...there anything
at all that gives you some answer about that?

2. Okay.
3. I can't understand what your saying at number 3. But i'm guessing your suggesting an earthquake which could propel the continent of America 2500km or so creating the Atlantic Ocean. Why not? We already have a global flood, humanity reduced to eight people, a host of animals (including dinosaurs) living on board a big wooden boat, vegetarian T-Rex's etc etc. Let's throw in the American continental shelf sliding 2500km for good measure also.
4. I don't think of myself as open minded, i am open minded on the topic of first cause by the very definition of the phrase. What am i looking for evidence wise? That's a tricky one for me, and most cosmologists i reckon, because your asking me what i happened before time and space began?! I can't conceptualize what the even means. So as for what evidence would sway me, i have no idea.
Something from nothing? Who says it was something from nothing?

If you date everthing as being billions of year old there is a period before that
too. What was before the creation was the creator, God.

when everything wasn't here. Saying everything has been around for X billions

In any answer you give to this fundamental question, I will counterask you "Who says?", and you will see that you are just speculating and nothing more.

The beginning of time is for our world. It does not apply to God.
Let us say our world is like a Mansion with many rooms that You
build. You represent God and the Mansion with all the rooms
represent the universe or the world as we know it. Time begins
for the Mansion when you begin building it not before. But you
still need to provide a clock on the wall to measure the passing
of time. In like manner time began for our world when God
created it and He made a clock out of the world itself.
