Most people saw slaves as inferior. The law afforded many rights to whites and no rights to slaves. Some may have thought differently, but slaves where treated extremely poorly. The scripture says that God will punish those nations that turn away from him and that’s what he did.
When people are born and raised in a society that promotes such th ...[text shortened]... , and they know that their families will be financially rewarded by their government if they do.

My point is that we don’t know. God knew what those first born would become, and he knew what they had done in their previous lives. Do you have this knowledge? Do you know everything there is to know about what happened? Seriously, how can you judge something that you know nothing about?
Babies die everyday. People are born under horrendous circumstances everyday. You can choose to blame God for this even though you have no idea what’s actually going on, or you can suspend judgment and search for the truth yourself.
Instead of turning to a forum for answers, why not turn to God? If God doesn’t give you an answer that you can accept, you can always continue to hate him. The idea is to find the truth, not wallow in ignorance and draw bad conclusions based on insufficient data.
