In God's image refers to the invisible, immaterial essence of mankind. The pattern God used was Himself: our essence also includes volition, self consciousness, conscience and mentality. Not a duplication of God but His shadow image. Genesis 1:26

As God is a trinity, God created us as a trinity; heart, mind and spirit.

Why then ~ according to what you claimed in a recent post ~ did he make your viewpoint, Grampy Bobby, and His viewpoint, "diametrically opposite"?

The Trinity refers to three distinct supernatural persons with identical attributes and different functions in the reconciliation of mankind: God the Father planned it; Jesus Christ the Son executed it [did the work]; God the Holy Spirit empowers it. Human beings are born dichotomous [body and soul]; at the second birth [regeneration by faith in Christ] the Holy Spirit imputes a Human Spirit [trichotomous being] which enables the believer to be taught absolute truth from the Word of God.
