armed forces do have a maritime force but it operates under control of the
army. They could quite easily designate that force as the Swiss Navy.

It is not your pride getting in the way of you at least recognizing that Swiss navy could be regarded as an oxymoron for obvious reasons?

You may think you are joking but there IS a Swiss Navy. Lake Geneva and Konstanz both border other countries so they have a navy patrolling those waters. And commercial boats protected, on the Rhine.
