Why is it never directly stated?
Seems to me that OSAS is man's attempt to explain something based on assumptions.
Of course if OSAS is directly stated in the Bible I would love to see it quoted.
No quotes as to why it must be true in your eyes. I want a direct Biblical statement that says if you believe you are saved then you are saved and can never lose your salvation.
I know of the elect but no where do I find the elect know who they are. They simply work out their salvation.

My sheep hear my voice,
and I know them,
and they follow me:
And I give unto them eternal life;
and they shall never perish,
neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
(John 10:27-28 KJV)
This statement is about following the commandments
The ones used by the church is eternal salvation through mouth worship.

But Once Saved Always Saved takes it a step further and tells people to judge for themselves if they are part of the elect.

There are plenty of churches that reject OSAS.
Jesus has nothing to do with false churches.
Jesus is with all those who follow his commandments and abides with them.
Churches who do not preach the following of Jesus's commandments are of the devil.

Knowing you are saved does not seem to be an essential part of OSAS. It would be hubris.
Sounds like setting up a straw man, to me.
If the opponent of a doctrine gets to define its tenets, you can be pretty sure it will be fatally flawed.
