How were my comments a hit and run?

I made a post to which there was no reply. How do you know I wasn't sitting in the car with the engine still running?

A hit and run thread is when the creator makes the initial OP and is then too cowardly to return to the thread to deal with responses.
Because you shoot off your mouth get in a shot and disappear.

I often find your responses so depressingly backward I choose to ignore them.

I favour the chisel over the sledgehammer.

A person though who takes the Bible literally and rejects basic scientific knowledge (like evolution or an 'old' Earth) really has fashioned their position out of a watermelon.

Yes, as I said, cheap shots and leaving, are your standard operating processes.

I haven't left.

And your position invites cheap shots.

Well, the sledgehammer is the Christian right's method of attempting to get converts through intimidation and threats. Jesus had a different idea on that. One that actually worked.

And yes, as you say, that comes part and parcel of their schtick.

Politicized religiosity is often manifested in "intimidation and threats" but I think it has little or nothing to do with "attempting to get converts".

I see you've shot your mouth off, got in a shot, and it has disappeared.

Hmmmmmm, while this is easy to dismiss as a simple, shooting fish in a barrel kind of answer, it seems to possibly have the feeling of truth to it.

If you accept it's true AND you think it's "easy to dismiss", then that reflects poorly on you.
