Heh, but so apropos of our situation in the US at this time.

SO, so many just throwing their free will away.

It's disheartening.
Lambs to the slaughter...Europe isn't doing that great, either. One day people might realize that there's more to life than the price of carrots (you know, music, art, literature, that kind of thing) but that day has yet to come....

Well of course bad things have always happened. No one says that haven't. But read those scriptures again and try and get what they are saying..... I have no idea what else to say.
Maybe you should stop saying things, then.

So. Do you think these verses with what they say are basically useless?
Now you're getting the hang of it.

I didn't mean to insult you or anyone else here if I did.

I know that you are obviously a smart and educated person and sometimes that can make a person not take the Bible seriously.

This is said in the Bible about Jehovah's view of ones who have earthly wisdom

“The wisdom of this world is foolishness with God.”—1 COR. 3:19

Why would he say this?

Hi and yes you are so correct on so many humans having such bad, selfish attitudes affecting us all. I know it is sad that when we go out to shop or visit a place to eat that we feel that we have to look over our shoulder to make sure no one is coming up behind us.

Paul wrote what he was inspired by Jehovah to express. This is how all of the bible was written.

2 Timothy 3:16,
16  "All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness"

Which Paul also conveniently wrote, no?

What I understand is that sexism was rampant in the Roman Empire, and men believed as they were raised. I believe much of what he wrote was inspired, but he was still a man, therefore imperfect.

Sure he was imperfect but you need to remember these were not his words or thoughts that he just made up because he thought it sounded good. All of the men that had a part in writing down what were included in the bible canon were inspired by Jehovah.
So I'm sure your saying "yeah right". Well I can promise you that you probaly have not really studied the Bible on all it says on this one subject.
If one is cynical with the bible to begin with and has let mans opinions filter into it, it's very hard to accept the Bible as God's word, and especially with the bad stains of misuse by many godless religious leaders or not understanding it which leads to mistrust.
Jehovah could have miraculously made all of what he wanted in the Bible to just suddenly appear on some rock slabs again in all parts of the world if he wanted. But he didn't. That would not have really worked
But he used men of many different positions in life like state officials, judges, prophets, kings, shepherds, farmers, and fishermen, etc. This actually made the Bible more real because it has warmth, variety, and we can pick it up and actually use it and learn.

This from a man who makes excuses for his own religious leaders inventing their own Bible that just so happens to agree with the false doctrine they were already pushing.

Read Matthew 23.

And yet there you are, knocking on peoples' doors, bothering them in their homes to try to convince them that your 'own' is better than their 'own'. At least be consistent.

Read Matthew 23.
I challenge you to research whatever original writings of the bible that makes you happy and compare this fact....
Here is a clue... God's name (((((((( Jehovah )))))) was removed just around 4K times in most every bible on purpose because of the Trinity doctrine being forced on the Christian religions about 400 years after Jesus death. And that pretty much all the so called Christian religions earth wide do teach that false bible teaching.
I've had two different Catholic priest confess to me when I had knocked on their door to share a brief scripture or two, and they both said they knew that the Trinity was wrong and not a bible teaching, but.... they of course had to sell it to their flock.
But I know you just don't care.......
