Just wondering if anyone noticed this little information news spot?

https://www.aol.com/doomsday-clock-ticks-down-closest-153717472.html
Traditional ecologists are largely the doomsday sayers, believing nothing can be done to reverse course. Scientifically they might be right. More hopeful are the eco-modernists who see wide-spanning reversal in technology and future innovation. Culturally though, this is only an assessment and cannot be controlled.

Well from the way it looks if man has the will to do it...they better get busy fast. But it is pretty clear that most don't, at least the ones with all the finances and power that they've been able to obtain from this planet and from those who can't stop them.
The writing has been on the wall pretty much when the bomb was invented. That may be a symbolic deterrent since it was made but we all know that unless Jehovah who has the only power to clean this earth of all that is bad, including Satan, that nothing will ever get better no matter how much we hope we have the power to do it ourselves......

It's surprising, that despite all the faith you have in God, you have so very little for humankind.

I believe mankind will do what mankind has always done; we have a bloody history filled with corruption, hate, manipulation, and all-around selfishness.

And most of that in the name of religion, hey?

Atheists have slaughtered millions; there isn't a worldview that has not had evil done by its followers; the bottom line is that what they all have in common is humans are acting as humans always act.

Yes you are right that religion has had much influence as well greed and corruption within most governments and just humankind in general.
But one cannot blame Jehovah God himself because there is no evil within him.
But the bible clearly says who is the cause of all the problems we have.

1 John 5:19
New International Version
19 "We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one".

So the "evil one is Satan".

Also one might also ask "why has evil, wicked and bad things in general seem to be getting worse over the last few decades"?

Revelation 12:12, New International Version

12 "Therefore rejoice, you heavens
and you who dwell in them!
But woe to the earth and the sea,
because the devil has gone down to you!
He is filled with fury,
because he knows that his time is short.”

So this scripture is saying that at some point of humans existence, the devil's affects on humans would change from bad to worse, and this is because of Satan being confined to our planet. Other scriptures also explain this.
Also it says he has more fury because he knows his days are numbered to have this affect on us.

And we're looking at it right now in the White House.

You should have never taken your eyes off of it.

“DO NOT put your trust in nobles, nor in the son of earthling man, to whom no salvation belongs. . . . Happy is the one who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in Jehovah his God, the Maker of heaven and earth.” (Psalm 146:3-6)

How can one argue with that?

So it seems that some here do agree that humans as a whole aren't doing such a good job in running this planet. Not saying that all are screwing it up but many who are in charge tend to get caught up in the power trip syndrome and the love of money. History has proved that over and over.
So... what is the answer?

Find those who ARE doing a good job of it who aren't on the power trip and follow them. Yes, even if it goes against your particular politics. The right aren't big fans of actually using money (which they could use for their own devices) to solve this problem.
