-Removed-I don't think Jesus would be interested in giving this type of "wiggle room". I'm not sure he would endorse followers of his leaving themselves an easy "out" like this. It's certainly not in the spirit of the issue at hand.
In fact, this seems similar in spirit to Cain's question: Am I my brother's keeper? I believe the only answer has to be: Yes, you are.
