@kingdavid403 saidOK, so it seems I have met some random fool on the internet who reckons "most [Christian] denominations teach and preach that all other Christian denominations are going to hell".
Yep.
You are asserting that, of the [say] 40,000 Christian denominations, at least 20,001 of them "teach and preach" the adherents of the other 39,999 Christian denominations are going to "Hell".
I think you are being silly. It will be interesting to see if you will now proceed to distance yourself from your own hyperbolic claim.
@kingdavid403 saidNope. Just go and look it up.
So now you have introduced the word "bonding". "That Bind together," bond or bonded; please explain the difference.
@kingdavid403 saidWell, I have been talking about Christians, not Muslims.
There are certain doctrines that bind all Christians together.
All Christians? Please share. Also, not all believers in Christ are Christians; such as Muslims, etc.
Muslims have their own theist doctrines.
@kingdavid403 saidThere is no doctrine that all people who lack belief share.
Furthermore, there are certain core beliefs in non-believers (talk about an oxymoron), that somewhat bind them together; and as, I've already proven in my previous posts.
@kingdavid403 saidChristians share the belief that God sent his son Jesus, the messiah, to save the world. They believe that Jesus was crucified and died in order to offer the forgiveness of sins and the opportunity for what they see as "salvation". They believe that Jesus rose from the dead and later ascended to heaven in order to "conquer death", so to speak.

@fmf saidYou look it up. I'm not wasting my time on your worthless non-sense.
Nope. Just go and look it up.
@kingdavid403 saidI don't need to look it up. You suddenly started using the words "bond" and "bonding" - when the nuance of those words is not what was being talked about - as some kind of strawman.
You look it up. I'm not wasting my time on your worthless non-sense.
@fmf saidMany Christians believe that, but not all. There are some Christian sects who believe that Jesus never died at all; and that He was taken to up to Heaven in a whirl-wind as Elijah; etc.

@kingdavid403 saidFor such a Christian sect, wouldn't the belief that "Jesus never died at all" be a doctrine that sits alongside the doctrine that he was the son of God and the doctrine of atonement?

@fmf saidbind

/bīnd/
verb
1.
tie or fasten (something) tightly.
"the logs were bound together with ropes"
2.
cohere or cause to cohere in a single mass.
"mix the flour with the coconut and enough egg white to bind them"
bound verb (TIE)
past simple and past participle of bind
😏
@kingdavid403 saidI now see you were using the words "bond" / "bonding" in a post not addressed to me. Fair enough. But those words do not reflect the kind of commonality I was talking about. I take back the suggestion that you were setting up a strawman.

@kingdavid403 saidI have no problem with the word "bind". That's why I used it.

@kingdavid403 saidI have never suggested there is necessarily a strong "bond" between all Christian groups. There are, however, certain core beliefs [doctrines] that bind them together and warrant the label "Christian".
Thank you.
@KingDavid403
Theists are united by a belief in the divine, in so much (at least) that this belief is a core part of their lives.
The same can not be said for atheists in regards to their disbelief.
