There is no leader of Christ's church but Christ.
You are right, Christ is the only leader not a pope.
And for people to say that he is Christ is blasphemy.
Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to run things not a person.

No one has said this, at least not here. Rather, your statement becomes one mor in a long line of misrepresentations of Catholic belief by folks calling themselves Christians.

Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

Matthew 7:21-23, NKJV

What two mutually exclusive things do I profess belief in, Nemesio?
I'd hate to list all of the pairs of mutually exclusive things you profess to
believe in.

But, for starters, I will bump the 'Scene by the Tomb' thread (again) and
see if you address the mutually exclusive accounts of the Resurrection scene.

But, RB, doesn't your church have a pastor to "run things"? I would never assume that your pastor is commiting blasphemy by having a leadership role in your church.

My dear liberal kirk, pastors do not make the claim of being "Christ on earth" and they would die before they entertained people calling them "Holy Father".

Pastors are mature brothers in Christ who lead in fellowship, not above us spiritually.

He doesn't call himself Christ like the pope does.
Darfius is right we are all =.
You get to heaven for being forgiven, not by being a good person.
Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand.

Criticism is healthy, insults and slander is bigotry.

Nemesio
"And, yes, he is a bigot because he (and it seems you) promotes a vision of the RCC which is in no relation to reality."

Explain how standing on scripture and exposing a doctrine of demons which has infested the RCC or any other church for that matter constitute being a bigot. You seem quick to throw the word around to any one who might oppose teachings of the RCC.

Point blank there are several teachings, church doctrines and practices which are totally out of line with what is established by scripture. Since I am new to these forums I am not sure what has been discussed prior, however I would imagine those points have been gone over.

The RCC is not unique as the only church which has doctrine which is contrary to scripture. The enemy has sown many seeds of confusion, however branding a person a bigot for pointing such errors is totally ludicrous. The days of tar and feathering I thought were over...

What rubbish!

The Pope doesn't call himself Christ. And you claim to be raised Catholic!

My biological father was never my father. And I haven't seen him since I was 10, so it was never a problem. 🙂

But even if he had been a better dad, I would have called him dad. Until I read the Scripture. Then I would call him by his first name.

I most assuredly wouldn't call him "Holy Father".
So you think everyone should refer to their biological father by his first name, and not 'Father' or 'Dad'?

'Sir' would do. Or, if you wanted to show affection, come up with a nickname.

I'm confused. Are you saying that calling your father 'father' is sinful?

I'm saying Jesus told us not to call anyone on earth 'father'.
