So the fact that you say the Bible says "most would not understand", and because you have an "understanding" that most people would not share, that makes you right, and you reckon the Bible says you're right because of this? Is that how it works for you?
With this League of Nations thing, did you "ask God", were you "willing to listen", and did you get an ans ...[text shortened]... sion point, nor does claiming you are right because "most would not understand".
Originally posted by FMFNo you may not ask as I don't know. The Bible describes the work of teaching as a planting work with a simple seed of truth. We simply start the process and if the person at that door has the right heart condition and has true interest, God works his spirit on them and the learning process starts. We are simply messengers just as Jesus taught his followers to be.
If I may ask, how many people have you recruited to your organisation on the doorsteps with your approach of most people don't understand it but, take from me, I'm absolutely certain I do (or words to that effect)?

Originally posted by galveston75I spent years talking to JWs on my doorstep and sometimes in the sitting room of my house. I used to meet a JW couple for lunch regularly at the Denny's in my town when I lived in Japan. I had many a discussion with JWs in Australia. I had good friends who were JWs back in Britain but they got ostracized; they remained Christians though. I have been talking to JWs since I was about 16. I would say that over the last 30 years, about 50% of the issues of Awake and Watchtower have passed through my hands. I have plenty of experience with JWs. You and robbie are literally the most inept and alienating JWs I have ever known. Just so you know. You both come across terribly, and I truly hope that you've got some different chops on the doorsteps.
You should study with a JW the next time they come to your door and you could learn all kinds of things.
Originally posted by galveston75So you tell people on the doorsteps about stuff like the League of Nations being "described" in the bible. I see.
All kinds of stuff.
Do they have to agree with you when you say that some particular episode or institution from history, although it is not specifically mentioned,
"could very easily be the fulfillment of the Bibles description of [insert something here]" and that you therefore "have NO doubt" it?
If they think your interpretation is wrong can they still join the JW organisation?
-Removed-The ones I have met in real life have been mostly pleasant folks. Modest, generous, little or no vanity, not pompous at all. Earnest and courteous, but - ultimately - unconvincing, and imbued with a kind of "spirituality" that I have no wish to emulate, regardless of how genial and kind their faith may have made them.
Originally posted by FMFYou are correct as I personally have not dealt with you as I should. But I am imperfect and do have my limits. I'm sure if the circumstance were different with the other Witnesses you have known and if my percieved "hounding" that you seem to enjoy here were done to them in person, they would have quicly removed themselves. Who knows though as we all react differently when in situation we find as a dead end and probably a waist of time.

But if my perception of you is wrong I do apologise.
But you need to realise that if one does not answer a question you have in a way you do not like, it is rude to keep pressing the issue. Accept it and move on.

Originally posted by galveston75The problem is that you often do not answer the questions at all, not that one does not like your answer. You dodge and deflect when called out for your contradictions or your gratuitous misanthropy, and so you are pressed for a clear answer or explanation.

Originally posted by galveston75The "different circumstances with the other Witnesses" I have known was that they were not as inept and alienating as you are. We had intricate and robust discussions many a time, and yet I was never called "evil" and never accused of doing the work of "Satan" or accused over and over and over and over again of being "foul and slimy" for holding opinions that were different from them.
