Paul's gave warning to Timothy about those who "minister questionings rather than God's economy which is in faith"

I have a question.
Oh, I have another question.
Oh, now I have another question.
And here's yet another question.
Questions, questions, questions.

Don't aspire to be a minister of questionings as opposed to the administration of God which is in the realm of faith. I don't mean a question or more. I mean question after question after question after question to only tickle the mind rather than nourish the spirit in faith.

Right here:

" Nor give heed to myths and unending geneologies, which produce questionings rather than God's economy, which is in faith. " (1 Timothy 1:4)

Myths and unending geneologies are only a sample of the many things that can be used to produce endless questionings. The tendency is not restricted to myths and unending geneologies.

We do have some mighty questioners on this Forum. Their effect is -

"Look at me. I can pose question after question after question for you."

There is a point where it becomes evident that the questioner is not interested in God's economy which is in faith. I gave some good advice for anyone wanting to be saved. There is no need for someone claiming to be a Christian brother to torture test it with question after question, nit picking it to death just for the sake of perpetual wranglings.

If you get your answer, what do you care if it comes with pouting and pontificating?

Um, would you please pause and consider Romans 10:9. If you have a serious objection to that means of getting one's self saved, what would it be ?

That someone is already saved ? Is that your problem ?

Well if that is your problem with Romans 10:9 the same section is very open ended that the Lord is rich to all who call upon Him. (v.12)

And being saved, can be a daily matter. I need to call on the Lord to be saved from many things. He is indeed rich to all who contact Him through calling on His name - "O Lord Jesus. O Lord Jesus."

Already saved eternally? No problem. You can get your self saved again in traffic going home today. Or you can get yourself saved, calling "O Lord Jesus" from your bad mood, or depression, or anything else robbing you of your Christian joy.

You see divegeester, you like to talk about billions and billions of people lost in my belief.

Actually, I think it is not that hard for people to be saved from being eternally lost.
It is not what doctrine you believe so much.
It is believing and calling to the Lord Jesus.

Many people for many reasons have called on the name of the Lord Jesus.

I know the next question is usually - "But What About ________?"
I don't know all the answers to everyone's hypothetical.

I know that whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved (Romans 10:13) .

Now Rajk999 will go bananas with Hebrews 6.
And round in circles we go.

Luke 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

You clearly do not know Christ.

And how do you KNOW he "does not the things which I say"?

You assume FAR too much. Right into judging your fellow man. You take on far too much authority. Apparently, you now do this out of sheer habit. People don't agree with you, therefore they MUST be "slackers". Who will be on the Great White Throne of Judgement? You? You're sure acting like it.

And you call yourself Christian?

I don't see much "following of Christ's commandments" in that post. Who does not know Christ?

I didn't really expect you to understand what I'm saying. Ignorance is bliss, eh? Too bad that leads to you forcing what you think on other people.

But instead of haranguing you for the next 50 posts, re-asking the question until everyone wants to puke, I'll just let it go.

You are quoting Witness Lee's cult translation. Here is a more accurate translation from the King James Version:
Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.

(1 Timothy 1:4 KJV)

So what's your point, Ron? They both say the same thing.

The point is that Witness Lee's "God's economy" is Not the same as godly edifying which is in faith. 😏
