<<You willfully omit the passages from Paul which contradict your doctrine, and you do it ALL THE TIME.>>

That’s psychological projection.

You ignore this very clear passage written by Paul in Ephesians:

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

(Ephesians 2:8-9)

You ...[text shortened]... n the opening chapters of Hebrews.

And I could identify a lot more if I wanted to spend the time.
I've been here a little longer than Rajk, which is still longer than everyone else in this forum.

To be fair, he has come a long way, as there was a time when he never quoted scripture except for the Sermon on the Mount and he only believed in the Sermon on the Mount because that was all he knew of the Bible at the time. He has branched out since then and discovered other parts of the New Testament that reinforce his unique take on Christianity. There was a time when he ignored the words of Paul because they were not the words of Jesus. Someone once called him a red-letter believer, which cut to the essence of his belief. He's busied himself since then with cherry-picking scripture which, as I said, reinforces his unique beliefs. But the Sermon on the Mount and other pieces from Matthew still form the core of his belief system.

@PB1022

With you, it’s just me, me, me, my works, my commandment keeping. Get out of here, Jesus! Look at me! Me, me, me. Look at my good works! Look at my commandment keeping! Me, me, me.

I heard a Christian say that for some heretical teachers - exegesis means "exit Jesus!"

I’d cut rajk999 slack if he didn’t write stuff like this and write it on a frequent basis:

<<You have to be the most crooked and deceitful piece of Christian garbage I have ever encountered >>

Truth is, I already would have bought a membership here if it weren’t for these kinds of posts, and rajk999 is only one of a few obnoxious people in here that keep this site from being more financially successful.

But I hear you on what you said. I just wish so many of his posts weren’t so obnoxious.

You think I need slack from you ?

This sounds exactly like the Jehovah's Witness blasphemy.

They misinterpret Colossians 1:15 exactly as you do.

Is Jesus the Archangel Michael, too?
Answer the question.
What evidence do you have that Jesus always existed with God
The bible says that Jesus was the firstborn of the creation.
Therefore Jesus was created.

Stick to the topic. What do the JWs have to do with this.

I neither said nor did I imply any such thing.
Your doctrine is a failure and it is contrary to Christ.

What Jesus said to Phillip is simply that He , Jesus was created in the image of God. If Phillip wanted to see God then Phillip can look at Jesus God looked exactly like Him, Jesus. Why you choose to add and read more into it is your choice.

The image people have of Jesus in their mind is the picture of some fool which the Catholic Church posted as Jesus Christ. That is not Jesus at all. But men were created in the image of God. Its the same thing.

Man. Jesus. God are in the same image.
All are created in the image of God.
Why is it any different?
Phillip thought God looked like some huge genie maybe
Jesus just corrected him

My doctrine and beliefs mimic the teachings of Christ.
I believe that Jesus is the author of eternal life for all those who obey Him.
Clearly some disagree.

Seen means physical appearance.
Therefore Jesus looked like the Father
Physically it would appear that they are identical.

Its like two identical twins
If you saw my twin sister, you have seen me .. kinda thing
How can that mean that they are one and the same.

I would think that the preponderance of the evidence comes down in favour of Jesus being a Son that is just like the Father in every way.

And yet you did.

Why don’t you read John 1:1?
