Presently unrepentant doesn't mean they won't repent in the future m8. Many current believers were unrepentant skeptics for decades, until the light eventually shone through.

There is no 'word of god', just the words of people who you think are 'inspired' by god.

This is your current view as a skeptic, this may change in the future.[/b]
No, seriously, read the thread you kneejerk addict. You will then understand that we are talking about sceptics who never repent.

You said, "That's all very well, but if this god really wants to offer salvation to sceptics, it's gonna have to come up with a better way than the bible to get the message across."

So my response is that a better way is not necessarily needed since many current believers who used to be skeptics were convinced by the message contained in the Bible. So obviously the problem is not with the Bible.

What else does it do then? Because in all honesty, without the scripture, I can't see any justification for belief in your god whatsoever.
I found the Lord then I started reading scripture. God does get our attention, the Bible doesn't, I was not saved in a church either or through some church activities.

Thanks for repeating my post for me, golly that was really useful and totally helped to make your entirely relevant point.

Well sarcasm certainly helps to refute a relevant point when all else fails. 😉

I thought it was an adequate way of suggesting to you that I'm not interested in your irrelevant argument. Apparently I overestimated you again.

You found the Lord outside of the bible and church?!

How did you know you had found the Christian God?

Of course an argument is irrelevant just because you say so.

No, that's not why your argument is irrelevant.

Let me guess, there is an actual reason but you can't say?

Me and several other people got into A LOT of trouble, and I asked God to get me out of it. He did, I went to church and got baptized on a Sunday, and went back to my old life on Monday; however, from that point on I started talking to God off and on, I still didn't know anyone who was saved. Then I felt Him calling me so I looked for someone to help me out, went to a church got nothing. There was a family that had an add in the paper"Want to talk to a true live person about a true live God?" They had their home number in the paper, I called went over got saved and baptized in the Holy Spirit. That happened over 30 years ago.

Yes you are not interested. That's certainly an excellent refutation.
