It is one thing to do some good.
It is another to be perfect as the heavenly Father is perfect.
The Sermon on the Mount is really Jesus beginning His ministry by reviewing how He Himself lived for the past 30 years.
Matt. 5 - 8 is Jesus describing Himself. He is describing how a son of God walks - as He has walked.
The early chapters of the Gospel of Matthew is Christ preaching what He had practiced all His own life.
Matthew 5:8 says "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God."
Do you see God? Your dedication to the Forum is argue that you DON'T SEE ANY GOD.
That tells you something about your heart.
And it tells (but you don't want to listen) about how your heart needs Jesus.
@sonship saidI don't believe the God figure in your "opiated" ideology is a "perfect ... heavenly Father". If you can't be a good person who does good things without your religion, I suggest you just stick with your religion.

@sonship saidHaven't you suggested repeatedly ~ rather like a religionist on smack ~ that my heart/mind is full of "faeces" and "germs" and that you'd rather be dead than be me? Why would I take you seriously when you make any assertions about what is good or moral and what isn't? Why would I take you seriously when you spray all this disinhibited sanctimonious online vitriol about the hearts of people who have different beliefs as you?
That tells you something about your heart.

@sonship saidIf your heart was with Christ you would be sure that all of Christ disciples and followers are indeed sons of God. They live by the teachings of Christ and they will see God at the appointed time.

The truth is that after years watching your flounder in a sea of false doctrine and misinterpretations of the teachings of Christ and the Apostles, it is clear that you cannot bring yourself to repeat what Jesus stated. Jesus is here in Matt 5, 6 and 7 telling people how they should live in order to enter the Kingdom of God. You deny this by your claim that Jesus is simple speaking of how He lived.
Jesus is telling people how to live and be good and righteous.
You are telling people that they cannot do it, neither should they try to do it.
Your doctrine is Satanic and contrary to Jesus.

Get some of these supposed "dying liars" to join this forum and post. Let's see what you - and they - are on about.
This is an old man's gripes about the time that Sonhouse said something that, when decontextualized, might be able to sound bad.
It's forum drama.
@fmf saidHow many hours of your life do you think you have spent on the internet being upset about what other internet users have said months & years ago?

And you acted as if my dismissing your concern about these things as social capital was an insight into the way that I think...
But what does this all say about you?
I imagine now we will be treated to the fifteenth iteration since Easter 2019 of bringing up Romans because ThE iNtErNeT iZ sErIoUz BiDnEsS in clown world.
@philokalia saidThis is one of your stalking-type posts. How ironic it is that you've just deflected one of my posts by saying "This isn't actually content". And then you type all this stuff?

@philokalia saidOn page 2 of this thread, sonship said "Dying liars may say there is no purpose to human life. But the Bible says that God created all things for His will." Nobody in this community says "there is no purpose to human life". So who are these "dying liars"? It's odd that you would seek to characterize this direct response on page 2 to exactly what another poster said on page 2 as 'no content' or "decontextualized". Maybe you are pretending.
