yes thats exactly what we were referring too. if you are to accept the statistics put forward on the site sonship linked there is only a few percent difference. off the top of my head it was 1-11 offenders were homosexual and 1-16 of the male populous are homosexual, which i reckon is about 3% higher offence rate in homosexuals. although we all know how difficult it is to calculate the the true levels of homosexuality, i suspect the truth is a lot lower than 3%.

my own anecdotal view from working with paedophiles is that they are in general only sexually attracted to prepubescent children, gender is not an issue. most seem capable of having a pseudo-relationship with either men or woman. when looking for an adult partner most seem to share a common fantasy of offending with their partner, thus making it more likely they will choose a male. also because of their predatory nature most paedophiles seem to only see woman as access to children or something blocking access to children.

an important point not raised on sonships biased website is that the rates of paedophiles living as heterosexuals is thought to be way higher than recorded. the main difference is that paedophiles living as heterosexuals are much less likely to actually offend.

Also, correlation does not equal causation.

Finding a correlation doesn't mean that there is causation.
You have to rule out all kinds of effects like selection bias and do studies to
determine causation.
