Don't care, obesity defiles the body which is what the scripture also warns against. I've substantiated my argument with scripture, now it's over to you.

I cannot say because all personal matters are treated with the utmost confidentiality. Elders can only make recommendations in this regard anyhow, they can only advise you to take certain health measures, they cannot force you to do so.

nothing is a disfellowshipping offence unless you refuse to repent, thus if you are caught smoking and you refuse to give it up then you are unrepentant, its simply much harder to prove that obesity is the result of gluttony. Furthermore Elders are not policemen, they do not police the congregations. Plus one may indulge in gluttony and put on no weight, for example excessive drinking which constitutes gluttony. Mainly though, we have established that obesity is contrary to nature and against the word of God, and this can be substantiated Biblically despite your claims to the contrary.

I dont know if it can be said that its contrary to the word of God, gluttony certainly is, but as for obesity, no i dunno.

no my main complaint is essentially religious, the fact that it does produce health complications merely confirms the legitimacy of the religious stance, like corroborating evidence in a court of law.
