I understood what he meant. Regardless, your accusation that I said that you are not a Christian is a lie. As is your accusation that I said that you don't believe in Christ. I never said either.

Perhaps an example will show you how ridiculous it is to hold an individual responsble for what another person infers. Let's say that Bob belongs to a cult th sus where He said, "Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect."

Read 'em 'n Weep, ToO. See? It's right here. No, not this sentence---tip your gaze slightly upward ^.....see that? With your byline attached? :You don't believe Him."
That is WHAT YOU SAID. And you can jump thru all the semantic hoops you wish, but every Christian recognizes that there is no difference in saying "You don't believe Him" and "You don't believe IN Him".
If one believes Christ, one believes His Word. It's one and the same.

That hole you dug yourself into is gettin' mighty deep.....

Why does it seems like the Christians on this forum feel compelled to find a way to disparage me no matter if they have to make absurd comments, make false insinuations or even lie?

Your first attempt was with the following:
"Condemning an entire group to hell because of some writings that don not even out-date the Gettysburg Address is quite another."
I still have no idea why you'd think this applies to me as you have refused to elaborate even though I've repeatedly asked you to.

Then you made the following false accusation:
"Your false claim was that I am not a Christian."
I never said this.

Then you made the following false accusation:
"Look--you said I don't believe in Christ."
I never said this either.

Yes I said what I said and I stand by it. Based on your posts it's a very reasonable conclusion to draw.

You can continue to twist the truth in order to try to make disparaging remarks, but the facts are what they are.

As I said earlier:
"Perhaps an example will show you how ridiculous it is to hold an individual responsble for what another person infers. Let's say that Bob belongs to a cult that believes that short people are born of the devil and you said that Bob was short. Do you believe that Bob would be correct in accusing you of saying that he was born of the devil?"

One would think that this simple illustration would help you understand the irrationality of your position, but evidently it's too much for you to wrap your mind around.

Seems like the following post which I made earlier in this thread to another poster and to which you responded is applicable here:
If a Christian tells lies, uses other forms of deceit, is a hypocrite, etc., has he embraced truth or as you say, "Jesus"? I've known many Christians including several who regularly post on this forum who evidently think nothing of engaging in any or all of the above.

Here's what Jesus had to say:
John 8
43“Why do you not understand what I am saying? It is because you cannot hear My word. 44“You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

The words "You don't believe Him" = "You don't believe in Christ, which also = "You are not a Christian." By saying one of these, you,ve said them all. I did the math for you.πŸ™‚ So you see, you DID call me a non-Christian, whether or not you are willing to admit it.

Indeed they are. And the fact is that saying that one doesn't believe Christ is the same as saying one isn't a Christian. If you can't see the associative property we all learned in 3rd grade, then the debate is pointless.

Listen, I'll try to dumb it down for you as best I can.

I never said that you are "not a Christian". If anyone asked me, I'd say that you are.

I also never said that you "don't believe in Jesus". If anyone asked me, I'd say that I believe you do.

Your insistence on saying that I said those things are putting words in my mouth that I never said.

If you want to go around saying that I said, "Well, it's apparent that you have little use for what Jesus actually said. In short, you don't believe Him. Instead you choose to believe the words of others.", then feel free. Based on the content of your posts, it was a very reasonable conclusion to draw.

Given your track record on this thread there's no reason to believe that you won't continue to lie about those things just as you lied when you said the following about me: ""Condemning an entire group to hell because of some writings that don not even out-date the Gettysburg Address is quite another."

You are what you are and evidently feel compelled to remain so.

If you can't understand when a=b, then b=a, then Lord knows I can't help ya. We shall agree to disagree.
