@eladar saidUmm, with evidence.
How can you convince a person their falsifiable assumptions are false?
Assuming the person has some basic ability of critical thinking, and can entertain the notion that they might be wrong.
Lacking that, you can't.
@bigdoggproblem saidTell me how to prove God does not exist.

If you are going to reject a hypothesis there must be convincing evidence the alternate hypothesis is true. There is no convincing evidence to support God's existence nor is there convincing evidence to disprove God's existence any assumption about God is not falsifiable.
@eladar saidThis may surprise you, but I agree.

I think it is Occam's Razor that cuts out your "God".

@bigdoggproblem saidIf you accept Occam's Razor as true then yes, if not then no. You cannot escape circular reasoning on the issue.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidReally, you can prove that?
We can certainly prove that a God that is both omnipotent and perfectly loving doesn't exist. The evidence (suffering of the innocent and the like) is all around us.
I've attempted to get you to watch this discussed in great detail you refused.
So, where is your proof?
Perfectly loving is one quality of God, omnipotent another, so is Holy, and being Just another.
You think one quality of God cancels out others, or is it possible your grasp of God is what is really amiss?
@ghost-of-a-duke saidYou can in your own mind. Skin heads have the same problem.

@eladar saidYou are a hypocrite.
I said he was being a rude jerk phrasing things in abusive ways and belittling his sister's beliefs.
It is a very common practice around here where some use it as a form of entertainment. Yet when applied to family members just causes grief and if not avoided simply acting as if the family member does not exist.
I am sure you know what Jesus guy says about hypocrites . 😲
@fmf saidFive? Six? Seven? As I said, I can't remember exactly how many. I wish it wasn't necessary in the first place. That you immediately started nit-picking is what set me off. You can sit back in your easy chair and criticize, but when was the last time you were out there helping these people yourself? Right.
It was your claim that you had "lost count of how many lives" you'd saved by giving CPR "on the sidewalk" that caused several people to query the story. At what number of saved lives does one no longer remember how many there were? Twenty? Thirty? Two?
I guess what you miss is that my work with the homeless places me in close proximity to these people frequently, and often at night. I've also had to call the police about homeless people I have found dead on occasion. This is because many of these people are in poor health and checking on those in my assigned area is what I do.
@suzianne saidSounds good.
