CHELSEA 0 - 1 LIVERPOOL
When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm
Is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark
Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone

Another false dawn ROFL.
YNWAgain.
Just how many red cards have your opponents had so far this season?
How many winners in the last 5 minutes?
Was it a deflected shot this time?
How many times have you actually played well this season?
You've just handed the title to United again on a plate - Thanks
Keep on building up the title talk, it makes it all the more sweeter when you fail again.
Isn't that a Celtic song you're singing?

That has been the scums title winning form for the last 15 years.
The rest of the games you ceretainly deserved points from them but are lucky to have so many this early in the season.
I'm impressed you did play so well at Chelsea but I just can't see your inconsistent performances getting you 18 wins in the next 20 games.
I'll admit I think Liverpool look like they could finishish close this season.
I just think you've been riding your luck somewhat.
Also I don't see enough cover in the squad to compete in the league and champions league.
United need to settle which obviously I think they are about to do.
Chelsea have Drogba, Ballack and Essien out and they are still playing the best football in the country in my opinion.
Arsenal will fall away, teams too young, no cover etc.........
With Torres, Kuyt and Keane as your first line attack, with no backup.
Limited wing play and a slightly creaky defense you won't win the league.
Liverpool have certainly closed the gap though.
Originally posted by Rooney Once a BlueAhem Torres has not played in the last 2 games so hardly a one man team

I included Torres as part of your first and only real choice attackers Torres, Keane and Kuyt.
Torres is great, Keane is a dud and Kuyt, well I'm glad he wears the red of Liverpool and not Manchetser United.
As I've said and you have pointed out, you have done well recently and managed to get 6 points from 2 games (without Torres).
Your performances though are not sustainable by a championship winning team in my opinion.
I thought I gave a fair analysis of an improving Liverpoool Squad but as usual the blind red scouse mentality (well usually its Welsh, makes a change this time its Scottish) can't even admit the slightest flaw in their setup.
Yes you have got 6 points from 2 games without Torres.
Against Chelsea you deserved it, well done.
Against Wigan with 15 minutes to go you were 1-2 down at home then:-
- Wigan have player sent off
- The rest is history
Similar miracle comebacks have happened in about 50% of Liverpools games this season and is not sustainable.
Like I said you need to aim to win 18 from your next 20 games to have a really good chance of winning the league.
Thats the form United, Chelsea and the old Arsenal teams could (and did) put it in.
Liverpool are going to fall away from this but still finish not far off the pace.
Liverpool are not yet championship winning material but are getting surprisingly closer.
Lets see where you are after 20 games, I think you'll be 5 or 6 points off the pace.
Which would still not be a bad position to be in to have an outside chance of winning the league.
I'm telling you, this Chelsea team can easily go on an 18 out of 20 game winning run and United have had the most riduculously difficult starting fixture list I've ever seen, we've even got Arsenal away coming up soon.....

Last season manscum won far too mant games in the dying seconds with a goal. Liverpool this year have had a similar rub of the green in that they are winning games that they should questionably have lost. Your problem is that you see them as a threat.

I'm saying they are showing they could be still in the title race after 20 games.
I hope you are a Celtic fan so we can stick a bunch more goals against you again in the near future.
Can you name any of these last second wins we got last season to win the league, I can't remember too many?
Here's a selection I found after a quick search, can you point out any last minute winners?

You're doing a real bad job of not sounding worried.
At the start of the season I thought United would win it.
We got a bad start and Chelsea and Liverpool started very strongly points wise with Chelsea playing well and Liverpool playing patchy.
After your victory against Chelsea you did United a big favour and I think United will win it again.
Liverpool are not playing consistent championship winning football but are getting the reesults with I think 4 games already won with less than 5 minutes to go.
I don't think in the modern game you can continue to blow so hot and cold over the entire season, play well when you feel like it and stealing points when you don't deserve them.
Either United will go on a long run soon (which they usually do at this stage of the season) and/or Chelsea will continue to power on.
I can't take Liverpool seriously until you put in 5 good performances in a row.
Also I don't think you have a big enough squad.
Chelsea have Essien, Ballack and Drogba out long term.
United have the 1st 3 central midfielders out Scholes, Hargreaves and Carrick out almost the entire season.
Liverpool won't win the league but will finish a lot closer that I thought they would.

Liverpool have another couple of gears, and even though we will probably lose a game this season that we've played well in, I'm just happy to be winning games when we've been nowhere near top form.
And it doesn't matter when you score the winner as long as you do - Man Utd have made a habit of this over the years, Chelsea have scored an incredible amount of goals in the last 10 minutes over past 4 years.
I did tip Liverpool at the start of the season and I'm sticking with it - but I'm certainly not going to get cocky .. there's a long way to go.
You're clearly rattled though ..... and I'm enjoying watching!

With consistent performances the goals arrive to win games in the first minute at times, sometimes in the last minute and sometimes they don't arrive but you still play well.
Only last week at home with 15 minutes to go when it was 11 vs 11 against Wigan you were 1-2 down and it was a fair reflection of the game. Thats not the kind of football that wins championships.
You've also done this on 2, 3 or 4 other occasions this season.
Liverpool have and are continuing to improve.
I just don't see you going on a run of 20 games playing well and dominating each game.
Chelsea will dominate just about every game they play for the next 2 or 3 months thats what you are competing against.
Originally posted by Rooney Once a BlueEven though it doesn't guarantee a win, a decent performance will make it easier to come by. But POINTS win championships not performances (see Arsenal as a good example).

Liverpool have dominated games in the past and not won them. Recently, we've won games that we've not controlled but it's a job done - 3 points thank you, move on.
The problem I have with what you're saying is that you seem to be assuming that Liverpool won't/can't play better.
