yes i agree I only joined because I read a post complaining about the lack of numbers and decided even though I have no chance I would enter. As it happens I missed all the big guns in the first round but then again the top ranked has alreddy blundered a game away in group 43, so we are once again reminded we are only one blunder away from defeat

I'm group 33. Looked through most of the groups to find me. I dont know why Russ didnt put a group # next to each player,..save the headache of going through all of the groups! Sincerely, Trains44
Originally posted by propawnkiller I've skimmed through the groups and checked for the "favourites"(1950+ current rating by my definition) . The interesting groups in this way are 2,3,4,16 and 33, because they have 2 favourits each. Another 15 groups have one favourite and in the other 20 at least 20 of the "underdogs" will go through.
group 2 ... wonderboy75 2080 v XanthosNZ 1970
group 3 ... sealion 2189 v jamjamjoe 1998
group 4 ... cludi 2232 v DoJoCleaning 2052
group 16 ... nicohuyboom 2228 v awrightus 2080
group 33 ... Quirine 2047 v TRAINS44 1987

I think that round 2 should have at the least 4 groups so that the finals will have 4 or more players in it.
Not 3 because that is to small for a finals match.
Originally posted by buffalobill I'm in 10 and with a 1931 player above me, I've got a reasonable chance of getting through. This should be interesting.
If it wasn't for you two pesky kids I'd fancy my chances 😞
Don't think I've ever beaten anyone above 1900 so I'm gunning for you buffalobill 😉
Should be interesting between you two though that's for sure.
