summary of some round one events so far:

nicohuyboom 2213 decisively knocked out by awrightus 2135 in group 16. (last year awrightus was knocked out by mistsplicer, who was knocked out by nicohuyboom! ...Revenge!)

jean hebert 2300+ abandons most rhp games, and continues to play just a few. He progresses in this tournament (maybe he will play his round 2 games, maybe not?).

last year's winner, Quirine, is nearly eliminated by a computer program which is identified and removed just in time .. quirine progresses.

several other heavies remain in the tournament, and many weaker players progress also.

This happenned to me - if he's got less than an hour left then it shows as zero on the info popup, but is shown as non-zero if you look at the main page for the game.

Didn't Quirine advance one of the rounds in last year's Championship because of the removal of IronMan? Deja vu. Sort of like fate rewarding a great player by striking down the cheaters that step in his way... I like it. Go Quirine!

I just drew with Milou in my final first round game to get myself into the second round and eliminate wonderboy75.

You can easily find games with nearly 40 days of total timebank remaining.

I hear you. I'm expecting to lose a lot of games in the next round too, but at least learn something (even if it is that you lose games against strong players!!!)

.... Only 2 games remaining - although they look as if they could drag out a little more, unfortunately....

48 Players will make up the next round. That will mean 2 groups of 9 and 3 groups of 10.

Both games remaining have one player with no timebank remaining so they could end any second (all the other player has to do is move and then claim the timeout).

if their anything like the players in the tourney i'm waiting for the next round to start they'll move and give them the extra two days for their opponents move 😞
