I dunno. Maybe with a slight difference. The Keystone Pipeline would be open, and America wouldn’t be funding the Russian military by paying high priced Russian oil.

Trump would use this situation as leveredge to get NATO members to pay their share. That’s for sure. To the howls of dismay by All Things Left, no doubt.

I’m sure I will be under Keyboard Commando attack for this! 😆 oh no! It’s an invasion! 😳
Yeah… you do know that trump is supporting Putin, on public TV, for all to see?

trump is on all fours having Putin take him like the orange bitch he is.

In a thread that has nothing to do with Trump, why do conservatives keep bringing him up?

Trump already backed out of war to please Putin, and agreed with Putin over his own government. There's nothing further to discuss. Trump would either do nothing or even help Putin liked when he backed out of Syria over the objections of his own party.

Stop bringing that guy up.

Who said I was a conservative? Or even a Trump fan? And who brought him up? You did, I believe.

All politicians and political parties in America are totally corrupt. All of them. Everyone on all sides keeps acting like they have some moral high ground in a world where it doesn’t exist.

Oh, and stop giving orders! You don’t pay my bills, or even my membership here. Or even your own membership, I note.

Your posts on this thread mimic US conservatives.

Every single politician in America is corrupt? That's an intellectually vacuous way of discussing politics. It's a mere platitude you use to pat yourself on the back for how "woke" you think your worldview is.

If you don't like me telling you to stop bringing up irrelevant politicians in threads they don't belong, too bad. You crying"don't tell me what to do" works both ways.

Well, in that case, don’t bring him up, dummy. I mean, you DID bring him up. As for your therapeutical insights, I will give them some thought. I thought about them. You’re full of horse poop.

Lol!

The US has a history of making agreements then reneging on them - just ask the native Indian population. Leopards don’t appear to be changing spots here. In 1990 Secretary of State James Baker undertook that the reach of nato would not extend towards Russia any further. The Anglo/American alliance appear to have treated Russia with the same contempt as they showed towards the Indian population, only Russia isn’t relying on bows and arrows and are quite capable of sticking their version of cruise middles up the arses of quite a few western leaders. I know that truth honesty and honour are pretty foreign concepts to politicians as a whole (the only occupation where serial liar is part of the job description) but they better think about adopting a few of those principles if they don’t want this to get any further out of hand. Keep poking a big bear with a pointy stick and eventually it’s going to rip your head off of your shoulders and bollox to the “collateral damage”.

True.

Promises to Russia that NATO would not expand were empty promises that were broken. Russia will not believe anymore promises.

I agree.
Doesn’t give them the bloody right to invade Ukraine though.

Does anybody have the right to invade other countries? NATO invaded Libya.

Why should Russia allow known invaders to expand into former USSR territory? The USA would never allow expansion of Eastern Bloc countries westward, would they?

I’m not sure that what is being portrayed by the MSM is quite what is actually happening. Like you though I’m against anyone invading anyone else. I am against war full stop, do not vote for any political party, and am strictly neutral in political matters.

I seem to remember the US being unhappy at the thought of a Russian missile base in Cuba? But it’s ok for the west to point missiles at Russia?

Right, but the US put nukes in Turkey first. Then the USSR put some in Cuba so they knew how it felt. Then they finally agreed to remove all nukes from both countries. Castro didn't like that. Cuba won't go for that again.

Another Russia apologist.

Where does it end?

Like Liljo, you sure don't sound neutral.

What's the matter? Supporting Trump isn't cool anymore?

There is no good without evil, and there is no evil without good.

Claiming it's all evil is exactly what evil wants. You deny good. This also helps evil by denying hope. People (like you) start thinking "what's the use in trying?" That's a coward's game.
