This is NOT conjecture. it sounds more like you are also a holocaust denier, HEY, NO JEWS WERE EXECUTED.
There is no central agency to do that job so it is up to individual doctors and such in those countries to tally the deaths. For one thing, in the back country in Africa there is not in some cases the ability to record say the names of newborns OR their deaths so it has to be done one on one with a person going door to door asking questions and there are organizations doing exactly that.
And the number right now AT LEAST gets to 100,000 dead.
Now YOU chose to not believe it because you have ZERO empathy for ANYONE so if an issue like this comes up the first thing popping up in your mind is FAKE NEWS, rather than actually researching the issue yourself and then you figure once you have said that, END OF STORY.

Do you think for a second that your 100k (used to be 300k??) number has any impact. when you take this fact into consideration? And you get that number where? Like I said, DENIER. Suppose there are 10 million starving children who will die of starvation in say a month, just to pick a bunch of numbers.
Now suppose USAID provides food for half of them around the world so we keep 5 million children from dying.
Try to do a tiny amount of imagination here, we stopped USAID dead in the street, not a penny even for food ALREADY in warehouses and now that USAID is dead we can't even provide transport for the food ALREADY available.
So the food for 5 million children stops DEAD. Food that kept them alive STOPS.
Now use what little imagination to think, how long will those children stay alive with near zero food coming in?
But of course the bottom line here is first, you lack the imagination to do the math and the second thing is you don't care in the first place.
