@moonbus saidGeorge Carlin pointed that out years ago.

They want you just educated enough to do your jobs and dumb enough to not know how the system works. They want obedient workers.
“Governments don't want a population capable of critical thinking, they want obedient workers, people just smart enough to run the machines and just dumb enough to passively accept their situation.”

@AverageJoe1 saidDon't you get it, that cutting federal funding for education and national monitoring of standards affects all students, not just immigrants?
May I suggest imagine you are on a debate stage , this is a debate forum. Not a college class .You’d lost me, and the judges, early on.
And my opening line is Not about Biden per se, it is that after a smooth 250 years of admittance and education of foreigners, the actions of a president to open a border to flood people that we cannot educate and we NO LONGER VET has ...[text shortened]...
You write like a girl, and all of you seem angry. Gas is $2.75 and inflation 2,7%. Trump.
It won't matter what the price of gas is if the national-average IQ drops to 70 in a generation.
@Metal-Brain saidThis is satire. Be mature little feller,,,Suzianne likes comedy too. Yay.

If what you and ‘comedian!!!’ say were true, how is it that government funds universities,, scientific research, open libraries, free speech protections, and public debate—entities that CREATE CRITICAL THUNKERS who constantly challenge authority?!?!?!
And, Carlin was critiquing complacency through satire, not making a policy argument. Quoting him doesn’t refute the real, practical challenges teachers face when large numbers of students require basic language instruction before they can even access the curriculum. Why don’t you become adult and state to us that, yes , it does lower the level of education when a classroom is flooded with kids who have to be brought up to speed. .
Are you going to respond in kind? The debate judges await.
@AverageJoe1 saidYou are full of it. He was not doing satire. And he was talking about educational institutions, not think tanks in certain limited areas. Carlin was certainly not talking about the CFR.

How about the CFR let me sit in and listen to all of their collective ideas? They won't let me? Why not?
@Metal-Brain saidNote how your writing assumes that his comment is fact, when, it is his opinion. Like, Sonhouse has opinions. We are zero here.

Carlin says all that to provoke people like you and Suzanne. That is what stand-up is all about. And it is gospel to the liberal mind as you cuddle up at The Comedy Club.
If it is not satire, then I invite you to defend it as a fact. Geez. What specific polices show an intent to eliminate critical thinking…. that will be your only out.
@AverageJoe1 saidThen why don't they teach us about Operation Ajax? And the coup against Allende to install Pinochet in Chile, another brutal dictator?

Just coincidence?
@Metal-Brain saidAre you saying a foreign coup just automatically is evidence of eliminating critical thinking? I wouldn’t know, as you liberals love to write in cryptic facetious cynical prose. Too difficult to dig through sometimes.

Why won’t you just say that Ajax is such evidence and then defend or prove it. There is no question that sometimes govts manipulate events—but that’s not the same as intentionally sabotaging their own citizens’ ability to think.”
You liberal sure can extrapolate!!!

No. Why would you even ask such a silly question? They suppress history. They don't want many people knowing they overthrow democracies and replace them with brutal dictatorships. Their subjects are supposed to believe they are bringing democracy to the world when the overthrow by coup or invade.
Why can't they just be honest about overthrowing democracies and replacing them with brutal dictatorships? Because it would expose their propaganda lies. That is why. Are you too immature to accept the obvious?
@Metal-Brain saidWill respond shortly. But this is worth a post.

WHAT is it with the liberal obsession with comedians.?
@AverageJoe1 saidWhat comedians are you referring to?

And what do you have against comedians?
@Metal-Brain saidYou wrote Carlin standup comedian. And y’all love the pitiful Kimmel and the self absorbed leftist comedian Colbert. They are all shallow people as well. Pitiful

And what do you have against comedians?
Nothing against them, they just lend nothing to debates ne cepas’. Emptiness
@AverageJoe1 saidTrump MUCH prefers his followers to be dumb and dumber, that way they believe every word he pukes out of his mouth daily.
Let’s see….the ‘old days’ that you suggest, or Socialism and all its trappings. And, man, talk about being Trapped!!!
Which would you choose
like 25 MILLION alien invaders.
@AverageJoe1 saidWhatever happened to “no child left behind”? Trump is sacrificing America’s future to spite Biden.

@moonbus saidTell us in your own words how is leaving children behind. I don’t study depths like you fellers, too busy, just touch on standard subjects for entertainment, like “See The Half Boy Hamf Girl!!” heavy politics, when I was not in the room in such decisions of education were made, would make me unequiipped on this
